Influenced by fellow designer Marcel Breuer’s steel Brno chair design, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe designed his exceptionally contemorary MR chaise longue in the 1920’s. This design features an innovative adjustable cantilever design making the chair exeptionally comfortable and well sprung. The chair features a soft Italian leather top which is luxuriously padded in a semi-cylindrical fashion and is mounted using hide straps onto a chrome tubular steel frame. The resulting opulent looking chaise longue is a fantastic and yet thoroughly practical piece of furniture which would compliment any modern or art-deco space.
